For the Horde!
Feral Instinct

Introduction

Welcome, and thank you for taking an interest in Feral Instinct! We are a Horde guild on the Thunderhorn European World of Warcraft realm.

Members' Conduct

Members are expected to behave in an honourable manner, to treat one another with courtesy and respect, and to display good social etiquette at all times. Failure to adhere to the following rules may lead to suspension of guild chat privileges or removal from the guild.

  1. Members are expected to communicate in a courteous manner. However, as we are an adult guild, occasional expletives, innuendo etc will be expected and generally overlooked. Please exercise this privilege in moderation.
  2. Feral Instinct strives to promote a guild atmosphere of harmony and tolerance. Should an issue arise with another guild member, please do your best to resolve the issue privately between yourselves. If necessary, you may request that an officer intervene. Should you have a concern about guild policy, please feel welcome to confer with an officer at any time. Your feedback is always welcome and appreciated.
  3. Begging will not be tolerated; it is considered mass harassment. We are a friendly, helpful lot but we won't fund your mount or power level you and your 9 alts through every instance.
  4. Violation of Blizzard's policies will be grounds for immediate removal from the guild. This includes buying and selling gold, use of power-levelling services and the like.

We do not enforce an exclusive policy (i.e. you may have other characters in different guilds), nor does it impose any minimum level requirements or cap on the number of alts you may have within the guild. We use the public information on the in-game guild roster to show which main alts belong to.

Guild Structure

The ranking system in Feral Instinct consists of the following ranks (based loosely on contemporary Indian titles).

  • Subedar Major - Guild Leader (Buxton).
  • Subedar - Elder Officer (Korenmage), with same powers as Guild Leader.
  • Jemadar Adjutant - Guild Officer, with executive or administrative duties.
  • Jemedar - Guild Officer.
  • Havildar - Veteran, a main who has achieved level 60. Havildars are expected to help out other guild members with quests and crafted items. Where a member has more than one character at level 60, Havildar denotes their main.
  • Naik - Guild member, level 40 and above. This is the highest rank attainable for an alt.
  • Sepoy - Guild member, level 39 or below. Members above level 20 are expected to purchase a guild tabard (and it is encouraged all do regardless of level).
  • Leper - You don't want to find out what this rank is!

Recruitment

If you are interested in joining Feral Instinct, please post in the Membership Application sticky thread on the Feral Instinct forum.

Please include:

  • Character name, current level, class and (if applicable) talent specialisation.
  • Any crafting professions at or above Artisan (300+) skill.
  • Previous guild and reason for leaving (you may convey this to an officer in private if you'd prefer).

Also, we'd like to know whereabouts in the world you come from, age group and any other information you want to share.

Note: We will normally only recruit people who are known to long-standing guild members, or that have run some instances with them, and have been given the thumbs-up that they will fit in amongst the Ferals. Whilst we are trying to keep guild numbers roughly stable at the moment, we (the guild officers) will consider applicants on a case-by-case basis.

Members who, for whatever reason, leave the guild of their own volition have a cooling off period of 24 hours during which they are entitled to reconsider and rejoin. After this period they may no longer be allowed back into the guild.
